Tennant: Dollar General

In November 2003 – remodel of a prior Video Update location for Dollar General. Exterior building surface renovations and interior renovation which included tenant build-out specifications.
Exterior:
Roof repairs and rerouted current drain system; Replacement of gutters and downspouts; Painted exterior block and man doors; Trimmed and caulked windows; Resurfaced and stripped the parking lot.
Interior:
Removed all existing carpeting, slat walls, fixtures, shelving to take the space back to bare walls; Installed new drywall and primed walls for tenant; Upgraded electrical wiring and system to code and added additional electrical service; Replaced drop ceiling and installed new tiles; Replaced flooring (tore out existing carpet and replaced with VCT tile and wall base); Removed all non-structural 6 x 6 columns and replaced with 12 x 12 columns; Replaced lighting fixtures that were damaged; Installed a new handicap accessible restroom and converted existing restroom into a janitorial closest with mop sink; and tinted the windows.
